Acorns Children's Hospice
Acorns is a Midlands based children's hospice. They care for life-limited children like our Harry, pictured. Harry died in 2007, but without the help and support we as a family received from Acorns, our nightmare would have been a great deal worse. They provide support not only for the child, but also for the whole family, including dedicated sibling support and grandparent support.
In 2014 I attempted an English Channel swim in order to raise £10,000 for Acorns. My attempt was stopped by adverse weather after 21.8 miles and 11 hours in the water. The French coast was less than four miles away, but due to some unbelievable donations my efforts raised an incredible £12,800.
As with all charities, Acorns need your help. Anything you can give is always very, very gratefully received. For more information, and to find out how you could help or donate, please visit www.acorns.org.uk
