Another Broken Marriage

I can`t believe it has ended like this,
How heaven on earth was so narrowly missed,
After all that we`ve been through, we`ve said and we`ve done,
This terrible end has so suddenly come.

Yet the worst of it all is I cannot see why,
You ran off and left me for some other guy,
I loved and I helped you the best that I could,
I suppose I may have done more than I should.

But I sit here and think of you time and again,
And all that is left is this terrible pain,
See I`ve lost what I yearned for most in this life,
I`ve lost you my dear, my very own wife.

And I don` want to stay around any more,
I collapse and cry in a heap on the floor,
And all that is here is a photo of you,
You knew that`s the worst you could possibly do.

Too late I see that I gave you my best,
You took it of course, the wanted the rest,
But now this is it, it`s over and through,
And there`s nothing on earth you can possible do.

See in the beginning, my God, how I`d try,
With blood, sweat and tears, my body would cry,
And yet you ran off with some other guys,
So finally my dear, it`s for you that I die!
