I had an enjoyable run over the Malvern Hills with my son Lewis on Friday. I ran up the hills and then back down to meet him as he walked. (I've told him he's running next time - he had far too much energy left over at the end).
On Sunday I went for a walk over the hills with Esta and Will. Being only three years old, Will thought it was far more fun if daddy carried him on his shoulders. So whilst the pace was a lot slower than on Friday, it was still a workout, bearing a few extra kg on my shoulders. But whilst having a shower today after the gym, standing under the stream of cold water, I realised I'm getting used to the fact that I won't have a hot shower again for some time. I'm getting used to the cold water.... but that's not the same as enjoying it
